Children's Worship

Children in Worship
While children do not always worship in the same way that adults do, they hear and see things within the service that will lead them to a greater understanding of what an awesome God we have. We strongly encourage you to bring your child to worship with you even if they are nursery age. We provide rocking chairs and a cry room to encourage you to worship with your child.
Worship includes a special children's bulletin and activity pages to help your child follow along with the order of worship. On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of the month, Children's Church is offered to children age 4 (by September 1 of the current school year) through 2nd grade. After the Doxology, the children are invited to follow the banner to their respective worship rooms--one for 4 year olds and one for K through 2nd grade. Once there, they sing songs, learn a Bible lesson, and participate in small group learning activities. The children should be picked up by parents immediately following the end of the worship service. 4 year olds will be in Room 209; K-2nd grade will be in Room 212/213. Because children are always included for baptisms and communion, we do not have Children's Church when communion is served.
Our children are also worship leaders! In addition to Acolytes, Bible Bearers and Crucifers, our children lead a special service once a year. They bless us with their unique style of singing, reading scripture, hosting, and greeting. You will not want to miss it!
