Congregational Care
Congregational Care is made up of caring volunteers who provide assistance to members of our congregation. This assistance takes many forms:
Meal Preparation: These volunteers prepare a dish as part of a meal for members, as requested.
Birthday and Anniversary Cards: Birthday and anniversary cards are sent to members during the year.
Transportation: Volunteers provide transportation to therapy, doctors and other types of medical procedures, as needed.
Sympathy, Get Well Cards, and Personal Notes: Sympathy, Get Well cards, and personal notes are sent to members, as needed.
Caregivers Network: Each Adult Sunday School has an e-mail representative that informs other classes and our Congregational Care Coordinator about sickness and prayer needs.
Special Services: These services include helping elderly/single parents with repairs/maintenance; vocational or career counseling for homeless; lawn care/maintenance for elderly.
Tape Ministry: These volunteers deliver tapes of the previous Sunday services to members who are unable to attend Asbury. Tapes of specific services are also provided upon request.
Medical Needs Closet: There is a wheelchair, a walker and two pair of crutches available to members who need to use them.
