What Does It Mean to Be United Methodist?
 
 
Join Dr. Kip Laxson for a five-part series entitled, What Does It Mean to Be United Methodist. This quarterly class will examine frequently asked questions about what United Methodist believe and how United Methodist are unique in how they live out their Christian faith. The sessions will explore the following aspects of United Methodism:
Methodist History & Heritage
 John Wesley’s Theology
 The Wesleyan Quadrilateral
 United Methodist Beliefs about The Sacraments
 How United Methodist “Do” Church.
 
This overview of Christianity and the United Methodist Church will include ways to continue your spiritual journey and to prepare you for membership. You are not obligated to join the church once you have completed the class but this is an excellent way to learn more about the church and to feel more connected.
 
Whether you are interested in church membership, a cradle Methodist, a long-time Asbury member, transferred from another denomination, a brand-new member, are interested in knowing more, or have no previous church background, this class is for you!
