Classes for children, youth & adults - 9:45-10:45 AM A New Look: You probably have noticed the new announcement monitors in the hallways. This wonderful addition was made possible by your generosity and the special generosity of one of our members who donated his time and expertise on engineering and installing the system. Without his extravagant generosity we could not have afforded such a nice system.
Wednesday Night Dinner Policy. Reservations ARE Required! 5:00-6:15 PM, Christian Life Center, $6.00 adults, $4.00 children. Family max: $20.00. This Week’s Menu: Breakfast Buffet, Kids Menu: Same as adults. You may now make reservations online. Click HERE to make your reservations.
Brown Bag Ministry: This ministry, along with Urban Ministry, helps provide lunches during the summer for inner city children who may not have enough to eat because school lunches are not available. The ministry is in need of the following: small cans of vienna sausages, small fruit cups/applesauce, small puddings, single serve cereal boxes, drink boxes, cereal/granola bars, single serve pretzels/Goldfish, PopTarts, single serve animal crackers, "gummy" type fruit snacks, packets of 6 cheese/PB crackers. Boxtops for Education & Campbell’s Soup Labels: Women’s Ministry is collecting these items for Red Bird Mission in the Applachia area of Kentucky. This is a poor region and UMW has supported this mission since 1968. Labels may be placed in the UMW mailbox in the church office or in the plastic “Campbell’s” container in Room 113.
Needed for Children’s Activities This Summer: Costume jewelry, big buttons, lace, colored t-shirts in adult size medium or large for Craft Camp. There is a collection box at the Children’s Information Desk. If you have questions, please contact Ellen Dean at 271-9919.
Staff Opening: Asbury has an opening for a full-time Technical Producer. Significant experience in sound engineering, videography (production, postproduction, and display/projection), web design and maintenance, social media maintenance and integration into a comprehensive communications capability is required. Email resumes to mgibbs@asburyonline.org.Resumes will be accepted until May 26.
Asbury Food Pantry: The Food Pantry has been open for almost one year. The Pantry is open every Wednesday, 2:00-3:30 PM and serves 10-15 families each week. Each family is allowed to receive food every other week. The Pantry is staffed by volunteers and the food we receive is donated by Asbury's congregation. The pantry is currently in need of the following items: pasta sauce, canned pasta, fruit, peas, carrots, peanut butter and jelly. The Pantry also needs noodles for the pasta sauce. Please place all donations on the Food Pantry Table outside the CLC.

Ready Day One: This year we will again help children with uniforms, school supplies, shoes and socks. Last year Adult Sunday School classes and individuals raised over $9,000.00. This year we again attempt to raise $100 per child by June 16 (clothes must be ordered on June 17). Volunteers are needed to distribute these clothes to: 70 children with Urban Ministry and Church Without Walls on July 20 and over 150 children with Collegeville Housing Project on August 3. Times to be determined. Please mark these dates and needs. More information about this Risk-taking Service and Mission next Sunday, May 26.
