While children do not always worship in the same way that adults do, they hear and see things within the service that will lead them to a greater understanding of what an awesome God we have.
Worship includes a special children’s bulletin and activity pages to help your child follow along with the order of worship. During all Sunday worship services we offer Children’s Church to children age 4 (by September 1 of the current school year) through 2nd grade. After the Doxology, the children are invited to follow the Children’s Ministry Team to their respective worship rooms–one for 4-year-olds and one for K through 2nd grade. Once there, they learn a Bible lesson and participate in small group learning activities. The children should be picked up by parents immediately following the end of the worship service. 4-year-olds will be in Room 209; K-2nd grade will be in Room 214.
Children are always included for baptisms. Communion is served during Children’s Church on Communion Sundays.
Our children are also worship leaders! They serve in worship as Acolytes, Bible Bearers and Torch Bearers every Sunday and throughout the year at special services. It is wonderful to have them participate in such a meaningful way. To sign up for training click here.
