For the Service Year of July 2013 through June 2014

Thanks to all who have served the Lord this past year! We praise God for your serving heart and are excited to see where God will lead you in the future. To those of you did not serve, our hope and prayer is that you will discover your God –Given Heart of Serving.

Did you know as followers of Christ, we are called to become agents of God’s love in the world? James Harnish in his study, A Disciple’s Path, states that in Ephesians 4: 1 – 16 the Apostle Paul lays down some principles for discovering your Heart of Serving.

1.  Every follower of Christ is united with every other follower of Christ in the one mission of the church.
2.  Every follower of Jesus Christ has been given a gift.
3.  Every gift makes a difference.
4.  Every gift is given for the common good.
5.  Every follower of Christ becomes a co-worker with God in God’s transformation of this world when we discover and use our gifts.

If you did not participate in the recent church-wide study, A Disciple’s Path, let me encourage you to take a Spiritual Gifts assessment at www.ministrymatters.com/spiritualgifts .
