Easter Flowers

Every Easter Sunday, Asbury's sanctuaries are adorned with white flowers which symbolize the purity and wholeness of Christ's resurrection. Honor or celebrate the life of a loved one by purchasing a spring flower

Orders must be received by Tuesday, April 16.

 

Palm Sunday

The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! ” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” John 12:12-13

Maundy Thursday Communion

This last night before his betrayal and arrest, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and then gave them a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them (John 13:34). Remember Jesus' commandment by partaking in Holy Communion and then go out into the world.

Good Friday Service of Darkness

Darkness symbolizes the approach of Jesus' death and of hopelessness in the world without God. May our silence and the stripping of the chancel speak to the solemnity of Jesus’ death.
