Interested in Joining Asbury?
We use a study called A Disciple’s Path in our new-member class, which begins Sunday, April 19 at 9:45 a.m. in the Gym and concludes Sunday, May 10. All new members are welcomed into our Traditions or Bridge congregations on Pentecost Sunday, May 31. Pentecost is the birthday of the church: there’s no better day to say “yes” to Jesus!
A Disciple’s Path combines a Wesleyan understanding of our growth in God’s love and grace with the time-tested practices of spiritual discipline expressed in the membership vows to uphold the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Participants will develop spiritual practices, discover their unique gifts, and become engaged in ministry that brings transformation in their own lives, the lives of others, and the world.
Minister of Discipleship Rev. Greg Foust will lead A Disciple’s Path. We recommend that anyone seeking membership take this course, especially those coming from other faith traditions. You do not have to be a member of Asbury to worship and fellowship, but the process can help deepen your relationship with Christ and the church.
